Amenities in bedrooms
Rooms all have door locks, hair dryers, electric blankets, hot water bottles, hangers, shampoo, soap, towels, hot water, toilet paper and sparkling clean white bed linen.
Washing machine
Laundry service or free washing machine use with drying lines in safe area. Upon request guests can be supplied with iron and ironing board in their rooms.
Dedicated work space
Upon special request, three rooms have desks and chairs with proper lighting, wifi and electricity for study or dedicated work. The library also has a proper desk and is used for dedicated work.
Room fridges
Upon request a room fridge can be provided. Communal fridge available in the kitchen.
Secure luggage drop-off
For guests convenience when arriving early or leaving late.
Travel advice and other problems
Owners personally always available to attend to any problems and to provide travel advice and assist with bookings.
Access
Owners available 24 hours per day to let guests in. Room keys allow guests free movement in and out of premises.

Please note: The Alternative Space do not have:
TV, as people now use their cell phones or laptops
Microwave, as it is healthier to use the oven
Air conditioning or heating, as the Swakopmund climate is generally mild
Swimming pool, as sandstorms turns pools into mud baths.
The accommodation at the Alternative Space B&B is NOT RECOMMENDED for those that are miserable, or finds pictures of nudity and mixed race relationships, offensive.
Our guarantee is that if you are not cool with anything at the Alternative Space, then please ask for your 100% refund, and please rather book into one of the many other highly esteemed establishments in town. No hard feelings…. Only respect for each other’s way of seeing life and the world.
